Global View Photo features the photography work of Beverly Brott, currently living in Santa Barbara, CA. Her passion for travel photography is driven by interest in and respect for the cultures and people she visits, whether across the world or across the town.

Known for her candid, available light, environmental photographs featuring people met along the way, her ability to connect spontaneously and meaningfully with fellow human beings shows in the natural facial expressions she achieves in her portrait work.

Also interested in capturing sights seen in the Pacific North West and along the Pacific Coast, in 2004 she was awarded first place in the Portland Oregonian newspaper's Travel Photo Contest for "Twins," done in San Diego. Her work has twice been featured on the cover of the National Kaiser Permanente Journal and it hangs in private collections in Oregon, Washington, California, NYC and Illinois.

Her travels have taken her to remote parts of Micronesia, Mariana Islands, Japan, China, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Irian Jaya, Bali, Mexico the Hawaiian Islands and Guatemala.

Photos were taken with digital SLR Canon D60 or 20D and postprocessed in Adobe Photoshop. Many more of her photos are in galleries on www.pbase.com/barbados
